It’s a great time to be in New York if you’re a fan of theatrical performances of Star Wars. In addition to A Musical About Star Wars, you can now see the One Man Star Wars Trilogy. The popular show makes its way to the Queens Theatre this weekend for three performances.

Written and performed by Charles Ross, the play recreates the original Star Wars trilogy with Mr. Ross enthusiastically performing all the roles, music and sound effects. It’s quite the experience!

Growing up in Kamloops, BC, Ross watched Star Wars over 400 times and then channeled his love of the movies into this show, which crams all of the memorable moments into a mere 60 minutes. (Oh, you thought they spent too much time on Threepio and R2 wandering around the desert in the first one? Don’t worry! That lasts but a few seconds here.)

The show has toured all over the world, doing thousands of performances, in hundreds of cities across four continents. From off-Broadway NYC to the Sydney Opera House, the West End of London, and the sands of Dubai, the show has been just about everywhere. (Well, except for Alderaan. Those dates had to be unfortunately cancelled.)
